Time Of Issue: 13.00 Saturday 25th September 2004.

A rather deep Atlantic depression is expected to move to the north of Scotland. This system, which contains the remnants of ex-hurricane Karl will bring a spell of very windy weather to northern parts of the UK during Sunday and into Monday.

Winds are likely to gust up to 75MPH over exposed coasts and hills, and 65MPH over inland areas.

With trees still in full leaf, damage and debris is possible from branches or trees coming down. Please take extra care if you have to make a journey.

There is a small risk (25%) of storm force winds in the far north.

Heavy rain may also be a hazard with a Western Scotland perhaps at the highest risk of this.
