Do people traditionally get caught out by the number of days in February for their March guess? As in  they see its the 26th of the month and, in automated mind mode, still think there's four or five days of model watching left before they need to submit their guess?

A change to 7.3c please - rainfall unchanged.

A very risky strategy as i feel a very very warm last week coming on, like to go well above in ascending months but i have to go on the evidence for first 2 weeks so no real alternative but to change - low confidence though.

After last months dismal failure.

Should have known it wouldn't stay cold the whole month

6.7c   hoping for some colder nights to keep ave down.

59mm hoping high pressure keeps close by.

The running averages are very suggestive of a springtime step-change occurring around 1990; maybe a result of the earlier build-up of heat over North Africa and the Med, like what's now getting more common in February?
