Foggy mild beginning to the day

cloudy and dry, no frost at last with a low early on of 4.3 C, rain last evening, no sign of any snow around nw. So the first morning with no snow cover for 7 mornings!

Moderate rain yesterday evening cleared by 2300 to leave the rest of the night dry but foggy. Thick fog so far this morning.

Outbreaks of mainly light rain overnight. Rain stopping before dawn, turning foggy. At observation, fog, damp underfoot.

Cloudy overnight, another penetrating frost for a time though temperature rising above freezing through the early hours. Still feeling very cold in the strong southerly wind. A little light drizzle for a short time after mid morning. The afternoon, saw a few short outbreaks of light rain, still feeling cold in the strong SSE wind.
