Think again. Getting perilously close even to here. Heaven forbid we could have a day when washing could actually dry outside. I don't know why BBC even bother making forecasts when they are so far out at such close range.

I actually should not have been quite so dogmatic. In a much earlier assessment in another forum I had said that there was still a lot of uncerainty on how far east trhe rain would reach from this little system

...and there was me believing David Braine this morning and hoping to get my daisies cut this afternoon.  No chance!

Absolutely pouring again! What a dud forecast! And now there seems to be a shower risk tomorrow afternoon too!

When it’s in a rut it truly is hey!!

I shouldn't worry it caught a lot of services out, including the comment I made earlier, it is what it is, and we are often challenged to determine "What's next!"

Morning All, after another sub 5C overnight today has warmed, but is slowing quickly as the cloud builds, showing nicely on the beachcam this morning

currently 14.2°C

Classic last minute clearance before sundown last night and a chilly night followed.

Sunny this morning but now ‘bright’ rather than sunny with a lot of cloud build up.

If I ignore the 2 light showers in the last hour I might record today as a dry day. Alternatively there’s still a long way to go for more !

Nothing, even though we have a partly cloudy day we seem to be heading towards as dry spell..better get the hose pipe attached and ready..

I'm trying. Just feeling so depressed and down. I think its worse this year not just because of the weather (I get SAD) and also the whole covid thing just makes it so much worse!

Hang in there, I'm sure this summer will turn in a few storms, if you think the overall pattern "feels" as though it's 30days late, that means summer and storms will arrive..

We're nearly done with that too.  Keep your chin up Mickey.  Everything's better when the Sun shines.

Which it will, soon.

The enclosed does confirm the sunny spells this morning due to the patchy cloud and then this afternoon,an overcast spell until it cleared late in the afternoon...

Sunny spells with a few cloudier periods, but still felt nice with a light breeze and the temp up to: 17.8°C at: 13:07

Hopefully a bit less cloud tomorrow if that’s not too much to ask for!
