Morning All, a slightly cooler night at 12.6°C at: 04:30 currently 16.3°C and RH89%

The sun looks set fair to burn off the channel mist as seen on the beachcam shot this morning..

Afternoon all,

 

The weekend was better than I expected, I know that wasn't the case for those in the southern half of our area I did see a photo on social media of some flooding on the IOW. Other than some overnight rain Friday into Saturday its been dry and yesterday afternoon was rather warm and humid.

All of the above being said I think change is now afoot, shame this coincides with the Skool holidays, but that seems to be the case every year.

 

A milky sun here in Gloucester at the moment.

I said this to the old man! Wasn't the weather meannt to be wet all weekend and then just rubbish and showery since. Although I am NOT complaining! Reached 25c here. I've been out playing dolls in the garden with my girls.

Good thunderstorm here.

Lovely towering plumes which it seems have been the Yeovil ones , alternating sun , cloud all afternoon,  sticky hot humid breeze now picking up . 

Unsure whether to water garden as it is supposed to be raining tomorrow.  We shall, see .

A bit more cloud now, mainly high level hazy stuff, but temp has hit 26c.

Listening to the thunder that Mike reports, but here it's currently dry and sunny yet only a few miles away.  Another cell coming up from Crewkerne area may change the status here!

Several short rumblings of thunder here E of Southampton in the lazt 20 minutes, dark to my north as a cell moves from W to E well within 10 miles, popped up out of nowhere half an hour ago. But only 2 or 3 of about a dozen clearly audible thunderclaps show up on blitzortung or netweather. Odd.
