Had every conceivable wind direction today:

Wind is gusty from the NW now, and with the temp around 10°C, it's feeling a lot colder.

Had 43.4mm of rain so far today (including last nights squally rain), some very bright echoes set up camp over my locale for some good time over the last few hours, and we are now getting some very lively winds and torrential rain on the back edge of the convective mass, looks like it will finally be clear in 30 mins or so. We have now had 60mm of rain in 2 days, I'd call that a nice soaking!

43.0mm of rain here yesterday, I record calendar days.  Spread over 2 events of course, morning then evening. Not a million miles short of my all time (8 year) record of 51.5mm on 12 July this year.

Morning All, a couple of light showers after the rain last night, adding 2.4mm today after yesterdays' 34.8mm. The overnight low shows the cooler air having arriving after the low cleared and pulled in the northerly air, with the low of 6.8°C at: 05:26, currently 7.7°C and the  RH81%..

The sat image shows the coastal cloud and the remnants of the low pulling away to the east

Meanwhile the beachcam also shows the coastal cloud, with a calm sea this morning

Cold, you say COLD? It's lovely out there, in the warm sunshine, ok so the breeze is a little cooler than of late, but it's still T-shirt and shorts weather. The beachcam looks great for late October...temperature peaked at 12.8°C at: 14:12...

Lovely day in all. Not quite coat weather but a definite nip in the air this morning and evening, and when the sun went in at times.

Morning All, a cooler night than of late with the low of 0.2°C at: 06:14, now slowly crawling up the scale, currently 3.4°C with no breeze. The day started out clear, then a layer or St, now clear as the beachcam shows, with a couple of folks having just completed their early morning swim (Beka one for you and your bucket list?)

A fair amount of cloud out to the west, and the breaks over us look set to disappear shortly as seen on the sat image
