After wearing shorts whilst at home since May I think it might be time to go back to long legs

Rainfall amount here was 10.6mm, I was concerned that the spiders had taken roost, and the gauge wouldn't read, but having moved the sensor recently, maybe I dislodged them!

Beach is empty this morning, whilst we have blue sky before the possible onset of the Inbound showers

I started with shorts ans T from the first lock down, I haven't gone back yet, and I didn't stop wearing shorts and T the "winter" which let's face it wasn't cold. Does seem like I'll be going back soon into the office, so not sure how I'll cope with "Long trousers" again!

Sunday is looking breezy, depending on quite where this tracks as some forecasts place it across the NW, this is the ECMWF

Morning All, an earlier shower added 0.2mm to the rainfall for the month after yesterdays 11mm, and looking an interesting week, as each Inbound low, having it's own characteristic almost with the weekend low looking the most feisty of the three. Interesting to see how the keys players in forecasting have moved the track of the low more easterly than yesterday.

A sure sign the seasons have changed, the cloud, the choppy seas and the removal of the container from the beach after the summer season...

Meanwhile an overnight low 8.8°C at: 01:4, currently 13.6°C with the RH80%

Interesting forecasting from the local rag

AFTER a mostly clear morning, heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast across Dorset.

The Met Office has said it will be cloudy across to the west of the county for most of the day until 5pm this evening when heavy rain is expected followed by thunder (6pm) with a maximum temperature of 17°C.

Brilliant! Timer has been set ... Escaped the rain over school run this morning - always a bonus. Actually I lie I got hte kids to school in the dry but light rain on me on the way back. It was around 12c then. Almost at upgrade to a different coat weather! Had some big rain when I was having a nap earlier. Got up and whilst the kettle was boiling for caffine I let the chickens out into the outer run. It be a bit muddy but not too bad. Might need to cover it soon, Caffine now kicking in so time to tidy the kitchen. Radar watching ready for school run in an hour and a bit. Might need my wellybobs! Sitting at a nice 16.4c but apparently rose to 17.2 at some point!

Quite persistent heavy rain now and very dark for 2pm. Who needs winter when you've got Wet-tember lol.

Rain has just arrived, but didn't last long, probably because it's not 6pm yet! Anyway currently 13.8°C  after a high of 16.5°C. Breeze has picked up noticeably in the last couple of hours too..looking a tad choppy

Excellent thunderstorm passing within miles to my south at the moment. Vivid purple lightning and crackling thunder.
