I thought today would top up our water butts but 2mm has barely touched the sides! A mere sprinkling for the thirsty sunflowers and tomatoes!

Warminster and Westbury in a much drier gap compared to all around in the last 24 hours!

4.2mm here from this mornings rain which isn't a lot but still the most rain since early August. Mostly sunny for a lot of the afternoon and felt warm. Reached 21.2°C

Awful here first thing - we had a warning but don’t know why!  Then it turned out sunny for periods this afternoon.  I am going to IOW festival this weekend so hoping weather plays ball………although looking a bit iffy for Friday?

3mm of rain in total so no soaker by any means. A dull autumnal day then ensued, with the classic clearance 1 hour before sunset.

Looking forward to a sunnier day tomorrow.

Looking at the Sat image we are in one of the clear patches

A welcome amount of rain for the garden yesterday and overnight of 5mm
Not really had much rain here that registered in the rain meter since those heavy spells in the first few weeks of August.

Back to lovely normal day of blue skies and Sunshine today, 21c.

Feeling very warm here! 23.1°C

I have a large shrub outside with lots of yellow flowers on it. There's literally a swarm of bees on them, never seen so many!

Oh a small nudge and bang a new daily maximum of 23.2°C at: 14:55..

As defined by our devoted Winchester reporter, we also have "some fluffy wuffys puffing by."

Oooh you beat us! Nice one! We are sat at 22.2c.

LOL.

Max 22.7 today here, and yes, little beasties galore! My Davis rain gauge recorded 0 mm rain yesterday (4.6mm in check gauge) due to spider webs. Another case of good old steam instruments and daily measurements beating technology and minute by minute updates.

But yeah, I hate spiders!!!!! lol.

Morning All, a bit of a hazy start right now, as mist begins to burn off as the sun's strength increases, raising the overnight low of 11.3°C at: 05:19 up to the current 12.7°C and RH96% with no breeze at all, everything is cool and calm!

A couple of folks taking an early morning dip with the sea mist clearing slowly
