Hope you are right. Although we had that heavy rain a couple of weeks ago, we haven't had any significant thunderstorms for a long time.

Feeling pleasant outside (and inside) at the moment with a light breeze and sunshine.

You can feel the cool air mixing out already. The wind is a good sign. I'm looking out past the Purbecks from where I live and there is alot of instability out there in the channel already. Also look at the satellite looks really promising!

There is a breeze starting  here as well  with hazy sunshine and some cloud instability.

Very breezy now milky skies but sun very hot and v sticky feel. Headache building .

Along as I dont have to water the garden tonight and I get some. Sleep I'm not complaining.

Hazy and much breezier than of late here but as the breeze is coming from inland it’s actually a warmer breeze compared to recent days where it’s been coming off the sea. Also means the temperature isn’t much lower at this time of day than the last few days. 23.1°C

Very gusty now and " milky " sky colour,  temp 26 C . Sun does break through  lifting the temp then disappears.

Here we go boys and girls. The potential holy grail of a Friday night storm.

It's not a school night, so grab a beer, sit in the garden and let the distant flashes come to you.*

*Not a forecast.

Well any rain in that line of light showers moving north over the Hampshire coast just now all evaporated before reaching the ground. Not a drop to be seen or felt!

Cooler though, a breezy 21.8°C now, nor' easter, 3 degrees down on yesterday at the same time and cloudy.

It's died off here. Blue skies above and lovely out.

Might be a bit cooler later, stood in the field over the way with the camera.
