Just started spitting here. Trying to stay outside...

Hunkering under the brew shed roof, watching the Swifts.  Need to invest in some kind of weather-proof sun (rain) sail, I reckon.

Well it seems that I have sorted out my pluvometer, having taken it down and tipped out the water in the bowl, remove the debris filter, I found a beetle the size of the hole in cone, blocking the exit to the tipping spoon. I wonder how long that's been there, kinda explains why when it rained lightly it would work, but not in heavy rain!

Currently some useful rain for the garden.  Not sure if the heavier showers over the Cherbourg peninsula are heading this way or not.

Yep it’s raining properly here too (further west and sooner than I expected) but the garden could do with a dousing.

I have seen 5 or 6 blue flashes towards Wales. No thunder though. Could it be lightning?  Certainly seemed like it.

Edit: Make that 7, but a lot fainter.

I have been London way since yesterday morning .

Looked like very heavy rain the radar yesterday evening

Was there any storms over anywhere the west?

there were amber warnings out Over here but nothing materialised only rain.

If you've not got it bookmarked already and I think most people have, a useful link for summer Spanish & French plume migration watching..

No just rain! And it’s vile this morning!

I wouldn’t have minded rain via a clear/showery set up but endless cool, calm gloom and showery drizzle/moderate rain is bleugh!

You've got to love the British weather, coz if you don't I can imagine it would get you down..

Last weekend sun, heat and beaches rammed with folks enjoying the sun..

This weekend rain. mist and a few folks braving it with jackets on..

From the 06 ecm

The frontal rain will arrive in the far south in the early hours tomorrow and swivel slowly north during the day whilst the intermittent rain from the occlusion in the north sinks slowly south. All resulting in a not particularly warm day.

Knocker the suggestion is that it'll be more of a pain in @rs3 day rather that heavy rain..

Hi

Im spending the week in East Devon and I must say that visiting the South West forum is quite different to the North West lol. I mean you can have our rain any time you want.

Anyway, I’m hoping for a few decent days after tomorrow

Enjoy the rest of your weekend
