Afternoon all, currently 13.5°C..RH 97%.....31.50mm precipitation with a rate currently 16.76mm/hrs.....I think it's fair to say its quite heavy right now and looks like plenty more to come.

I only wanted the new seeded lawn to have a generous watering......could be a swimming pool if this carries on .

I just walked through some grass on the way home that went squelch! Not surprising after a 24 hour drowning lol. It really is one extreme to the other in this country!

Very heavy rain here in the last hour, we've had 17mm fall within that time. This has caused localised flooding on all the local roads.

Not seen this much rain in a while!

Currently 13.5°C with heavy rain. Total daily rainfall amount 33.9mm!

I don't remember it raining for over 24 hours in a very long time - if ever?! I feel like it must have and I should remember it though ...!!

The slightest bit of drizzle in the air now. Feels chilly.

Remarkable two days here. 26mm rain yesterday after 3pm in my check gauge, another 25mm so far today so that's over 50 mm in 25 hours.

And my Davis VP2 decided to block itself this morning so I have to work out how to get a bucketful of rain through the funnel slowly enough to record the true total for the day! I knew I'd need my CocoRAHS one day... again!

Anf the day's maximum 24h temperature occurred at midnight, 16.8°C - somewhat different from my pathetic daytime max of 14°C !

That makes it even worse. All of those poor passengers watching as you took your hands off of the wheel to take the photo..

Been taking a quick look at PWS rainfall figures on Wunderground - the highest I've found so far in the region is 85mm in Yateley, followed by 81mm in Hartley Wintney. Only a little light rain after 3pm here in Reading so far, still at 69mm here. That would probably put it in the all time top 5 here, and the highest daily total since July 2007 at least. [Edit - the station in Yateley is showing 91mm now and it still appears to be raining heavily there. There are also two separate stations further south, near Haslemere, showing 100mm+.]

I'm sure Beka can send you some of hers in the post...

28.2mm here today along with 7.0mm yesterday. Also it's been around 13°C all day which was a real shock after the last few days

Morning All, overcast start to the day as things dry out from yesterday in readiness for some more rain over the weekend, currently 12.0°C

I'm trying to work out if these are stragglers from the footie last night or keen beach-goers

Still no rain still dry might get some this weekend or might see some flashes if the forecast is to be believed

Doesn't look or feel thundery at all. In fact, with complete featureless cloud cover and a temperature of 14C, it could be October...

Thoroughly miserable. Only 12.2c and so dull. The atmosphere is so damp/cool that some water on tables etc from yesterday’s rain still hasn’t dried out!

I had at least expected the sun to burn through to some extent!

Same here, everything is pretty wet after yesterday, but the plants needed it.

Today has peaked at 13.4°C at: 15:15

And the hardy beach goers give it their all..
