Squall wasn’t too impressive here. The rain popped up but the wind actually dropped and now it’s a millpond.

It turned out to be a bit of an anticlimax here. One gust of 42mph, the rest in the low 30's. Forecast plumped for 4 hours of mid 40's.

Squall just went through with 5-10 minutes of torrential rain, also a bit of hail briefly as well.

No squall here, or anywhere inland by the looks of it.. just continuous moderate rain.  Saw a big red blob on the radar over the coast though

Hoping some get lucky with convection tomorrow and/or Tuesday.

Squall just passed intensifying as it went overhead.  Now curiously quiet and calm afterwards. Not especially windy, but the rain was pretty intense for 10 minutes or so

The line feature last night managed to split with us passing through a 2 mile wide gap. A fair bit more rain a few miles north of here. Even so, I got 14.6mm of rain.

1.2mm so far today.

That brings May's total up to 183.6mm. Quite possibly a record, but not sure (there doesn't seem to be any official stations around here with continuous long term rainfall records that are publicly available..)

This is all according to the Davis VP2, though it's been very close to the manual gauge since getting the new tipping spoon mechanism.

Same thing happened here, all it created was an increase in windspeed..

Mainly cloudy this morning with Cu/Sc and quite breezy. The rain from this system should arrive here around midday. How far east it gets is still a tad uncertain

Unexpectedly raining now from some showery rain ahead of the front to the SW. It was nice this morning.

Well, this rain wasn't forecast! BBC showed dry, with the odd shower around.

Think again. Getting perilously close even to here. Heaven forbid we could have a day when washing could actually dry outside. I don't know why BBC even bother making forecasts when they are so far out at such close range.
