No most of the rain is over Wales and the NW as you will have noticed. You may get a bit more as the next front(s) move through but tonight and through tomorrow not looking that clever. It is pretty grim here at the moment gusting 45mph

Yup the rain is increasing as it moves eastwards AND the wind is certainly picking up as the pressure drops noticeably

The absolute paradox between this Spring and last Spring seems to be reaching a peak today and tomorrow!

We have had no rain today, but plenty of blue sky spells this afternoon and quick passing light grey spells.
SW wind has picked up in the last few hours to 14-18mph with a handful of 20-25mph gusts and one in last hour of 37mph

It's been a wetter afternoon than i originally thought it would be here, and the acer has blown half way across the garden for the 3rd time this October

Probably best to just bring the laptop indoors now, I'm surprised it's still working!

What a splendidly lovely late May morning.

Feels more like any day in Autumn or Winter.

Morning All, a tad breezy this morning! A peak of 61mph @Portland  and 46mph @Bournemouth Airport as their reported highs.

Air pressure is still falling as the low tracks across the UK, so my peak this morning of 31mph could still disappear

Local beach conditions this morning look....CHOPPY to say the least

image.thumb.png.98e9d57c6dd9781383cb55209ab44dee.png

Locally rain showers, interspersed with drizzle and the temperature 9.5°C

From the local rag

A BEACHFRONT car park has been closed as strong winds batter Dorset today.

Boscombe Undercliff Drive car park has been closed and BCP Council has warned the piers  may need to be shut later as gusts of up to 60mph are expected.

Very windy but not getting anywhere near the original predicted wind speeds. This morning's forecast speeds have been knocked down. Definitely not as windy as May 3rd.

Currently sunny and 13.3°C.

Pressure is now rising and the windspeed is beginning to drop back as the wind swings away from the W slowly..still looking GLOOMY down on the beach..

Temperature 9.9°C  and light rain

Wind has picked up here in last hour, quite a few 40mph gusts and plenty of 30-35mph ones.
SW wind is a constant at 20-23mph.
At least its still stayed dry
Thought the wind would be easing now. Nowhere near the 45-58mph that met office predicted over the last many hours for us.

Clouding over here and just had a little drizzly spell.
