Quite a bit of rain coming our way over the next few days or so.

We currently have patchy outbreaks of rain around the region now, with some wintriness still over the Cotswolds etc according to the radar;

and out west we see the next band of rain coming our way, due after dark tonight;

albeit, this could become ever more fragmented as it crosses the region, so some areas might not get much at all.

Another band of rain coming up from the SSW tomorrow evening, this one bringing more notable amounts of rain to Devon & Dorset in particular;

Followed by a further band of rain early hours Tuesday morning;

Then we turn to a regime of sunshine and showers through Tuesday itself.

All in all, perfect weather for ducks coming up.  It will be mild throughout though.

The cold spell was a complete waste of time for my location.

Part from some snow flurries,  the only thing that the cold spell managed to do was increase my gas and electric bill.

Roll on the warmer weather, looking forward to longer days now.

Yes I’m looking forward to the sunshine and mid teens at the weekend. This coming week just looks drab and boring.

One thing the cold spell was good for was drying out the local paths. Now it’s going to get damp again...

Just remember that’s still 120 hours away!! Beware lingering weak fronts, unexpected fog and extensive cloud.

I predict 12c maxima with chance of sunny spells for an hour mid afternoon.

Way to crush the dream lol.

Well award of the risks and obviously the least interesting outcome normally wins, but my thinking is based on a southerly. An anticyclonic southerly and sunshine will be much more likely. Less anticyclonic and more SWerly and cloud/patchy drizzle becomes a risk.

Raining, and still damned cold here, only 4c. Just popped the heating back on; i really feel the cold these days; oh for some winter sun and warmth in the Caribbean or Fuerteventura

I'm so missing my foreign jaunts to sunnier, warmer climes.

As soon as the milder weather arrives the precip returns after evading here for the last week while it was cold enough for snow. Dull and wet now with light rain. 4.9°C

Had a few cracking spells of heavy rain today, topping things up and thawing out the frozen soil, maybe I can get out and some digging this week, now it's not so solid.. Meanwhile the decent rainfall, has dropped 5.2mm and it' still teaming down, and is topping up the reservoirs, for the summer..

We've lost the ships and the Purbecks again in this mornings beachcam image ..

After an overnight low of 7.4°C at: 00:00, heading for double digits already this morning, currently 9.3°C with the wind direction now in form the SW, and continued rain up until 7am this morning, yesterday picked up 19mm, and so far today another 4.6mm, that's pushed the RH figure back up to 96%..
