Is it ok if I put this down as a snow day in my records and attach the radar image they will never know looking back in 50yrs time ❄️

After a brief lull it has started again, more of a wet mix now though.

Heavier now. Still fine stuff, rather than large flakes. More like graupels. Air still v dry i presume.

Afternoon all, snowing steadily here on the Mendips, only trouble is the flakes are the size of breadcrumbs. If it keeps this up, might have a covering by Easter.

I'm imagining this like the alternate ending of the A.I. Spielberg film.

Looks to be pepping up a bit. Nothing falling here yet mind.

One would think we're about to get a pasting anywhere East of the Bristol channel looking at the radar, but it's so underwhelming lol

The beast from the east has arrived I can report I have seen 3 flakes in space of last 5 mins!

One for the history books for sure.

Yeah I have a feeling we’ll not forget this snow event as the one that never was despite what the radar was showing.

I’ve seen radar images showing rain in the summer that hasn’t reached the ground because it’s so warm, but nothing like this in winter.

I think the only flake I am likely to see this afternoon is a Cadburys!

Exactly Jethro, it all looks very nice right now, but it needs to last a few weeks to get a covering.

Some RED STUFF has Bristol's name all over it in the Channel just above Watchet. We could be in SERIOUS trouble.

Gosh! After watching the Meto forcast yesterday and seeing nothing for us I didn't expect anything.

Starting to settle on roofs here.

Wow! Really? Is this gonna actually happen?

The band does look to be intensifying somewhat,  from about Hereford down to the south coast, which is surprising!
