Might have been a rumble of thunder Mr Dereham.

Make that definitely!

a small cell passed over SE18 about 13:30 which gave a few rumbles and lots of rain. ten minutes after passing you wouldn't think it ever rained. evaporation rate with heat of sun is really quick

It's N of Dereham tbh, so little chance of it arriving. Can't go and see it either boo hiss.

The car was displaying 32c on the way home, it feels really muggy too. I hate this kind of weather without a pool or a beach.

Clouding over here now, the cell thats come down from cambridge way is slowly extending eastwards, can see the edge of it but its too far south of us even if it does extend further eastwards' but its covered the sun, so hopefully temps will slowly start to drop away. Had a brief moment of excitement earlier from a false radar return of a strike near southwold, which means I really do need to get out more

Amazing pictures of a supercell storm and possible tornado south of Cambridge getting posted on Twitter!
Looks like it’s game over for areas in the west of the region ☹️

I'm out delivering parcels in Maidstone. It's been raining for over 2 hours now. Started hearing thunder about 90 minutes ago and it's not stopped. Had the windows open in my van slightly as it was misting up. As I drove along a country lane there was an almighty flash of lightning to my left and an instantaneous clap 9f thunder.  Think I may need to change my underwear when I get home!

Have the edge of the cell over us, with mammatus lurking about and more forming now. Some rain drops, lots of rumbles in the distance from the cells that are just to the west of us. Must be a good show over there, wish they were a little more east...

Looks like I hit the storm sweet spot today. Just been one cell after another since about 2pm, and still going. Booming thunder, odd flash of lightning and torrential rain.

Probably wasted on myself, I’d prefer it was still 30c and sunny rather than 23c and tipping it down and dark.

I've been sitting in the sunshine hearing the distant rumbles and watching the clouds just graze pass my town.

But now it's raining and looks like we are now in the pathway of a storm.

Murky with occasional rumblings. Some nice developments to the north.

There's nothing beautiful about being sunburnt

Raindrops are falling on my head...

In East London, the stormocalypse (my word) has begun - or perhaps not.

The radar suggests something is intensifying in situ over East London.

Next 15-30 minutes may be interesting.
