For once, just the once, eastern Sheppey was right in the firing line. A good 5-6cm in the space of two hours over lunchtime and the early afternoon.

Total snow depth here just outside Leysdown is 10-11cm.

This event does now feel very much like the good old days of the 80s, just with higher temperatures and less snow. It's still wonderful to have a proper easterly for once!

Photo doesn’t do any justice bu still snowing moderate to heavy here in Hawkhurst but, according to the radar, pretty near done in about half hour or so. Hope that’s not Winter’s last hurrah

Now THAT is a snow shower. Not seen anything like that here since 2010 (that includes 2018).

Bright day here in Croydon, the snow has pretty much melted off most of the roads and paths since this morning. A distinct chill in the air already, going to be a cold one tonight!

Took the dog for a walk for an hour or so.  Got caught out in a blizzard over the fields near me!!  Some beautiful big flakes though.  Best snow fall of this cold snap so far.

Shame that we didn't have this type of snow from Saturday night onwards, would have been an awesome cold snap!

A steady thaw here this afternoon with the sun out for the first time in a few days. Jealous seeing the heavy snow across the estuary in Kent. I can’t complain though with 3/4 days of snow

pictures of first thing this morning and now.

Whiteout here now! Looks good for next few hours ??

Heaviest snow here since 2010 now..

All thr bits that melted have now filled back in and adding depth to what we had already.

Been looking at the models again, and I'm half dispirited that the one day they show us getting a direct hit for a few hours, they seem to be wrong, but half optimistic that there might be a bit more to come.

The hourly charts from the hi Res models show the showers in a much more stable pattern and even tilt back a touch more easterly as the day progresses. All further NW than currently shown on radar also  With further shower formation evident, there's got to be a chance of a few more showers.

Temp dropped from 0.4 to -0.8 within 10 minutes after the snow started and we're now fully white again. Struggling a bit on the road.
