The sun is actually breaking through the cloud slowly today. Probably the same tomorrow if not better as winds slowly veer towards the south east. Cloud amounts on Sunday/Monday look difficult to predict as a front stalls over the U.K.

Yesterday afternoon we had some good spells of sunshine, but today we are back in the cloud. Cheer up everyone, the warmth and sun is coming back next week, up to 27c some places apparently.

Yep, the cloud finally has much more of a chance of breaking up now the position of the high is changing. And roll on next week. Even the most curmudgeonly disliker of warmth shouldn’t begrudge us three or so days of what we so badly missed out on in the summer months.

As a curmudgeonly disliker of too much heat, I shall not begrudge, so long as its cool to sleep at night its fine and as its darker earlier shouldnt be too bad.  The sun has now won the battle and like yesterday we have bluer skies and sun for the afternoon.

Another dull dry day here in mid Essex. Yesterday was the only day for some time in which we had some sun, although it was hardly wall to wall. I keep telling myself tomorrow will be better, but thus far it has not really been the case.
