Since when did "breeze" mean gusting 5  to 6? This is definitely not just "breezy"!!!!

lol August is supposed to be the month when they start getting hammered after binge eating, then they go bat sheet crazy and start stinging everything.

Didn't get a chance to post this last evening after arriving home from a week's holiday, but just had to snap the evening sky over Suffolk. Wonderful mix of clouds, vapour trails and colours.

Another dry day here by the looks of thing, only some light rain a couple of days ago so far this week. The type where you still go out without a jacket and can feel, but not heavy enough to get wet. Seen it a few times down here. It's like most of whatever is falling evaporates on the way down, I think August will be the dryest summer mounth this year. For this corner of the se anyway

After some midday cloud cleared through it was a lovely afternoon here. Temp maxed at 24.6C at 16.14 and with a comfortable humidity at 60% and a gentle 5mph breeze the pub beer garden was a great place to be at teatime. Still 22C at 19.00 so now enjoying the garden.

Another unspectacular but very useable day. Again temperatures in the 22-24c range across the region, especially across East Anglia. However it has been sunnier today.

For those who like cold snowy winters, looking around out side now, I feel it'll be a good one. The signs are everywhere.

Latest charts now showing a cool cloudy end to summer what a surprise, only  a few days of 30+ recorded this summer as a whole, which was nothing exciting. I compare this summer to 2012 but just without all the heavy rain .

Out & about around Islington & Camden this evening & what’s really striking me is how dark it is. I know the nights are drawing in, but the cloud cover is so thick & it’s very cool as well. It doesn’t get Me down too much, but it reminds Me of an October day, not mid-August.

Can't believe it's mid August and my dahlia's are only just blooming. They normally blo early June. Veggies are only just being able to be harvested too. Again about 2 months late. Lack of sun has really impacted it this year.

What an absolutely awful and tedious spell of weather this is in the closing stages of a pretty grotty summer overall. At least proper rain is useful, this murky sunless gloom with bits of drizzle and a stiff breeze making it feel very cool really is just the worst for mid August.
