terrible conditions here in N Surrey torrential rain occasional claps of thunder interspersed with brief sunny spells impssoble to do anything outside !!

Absolutely hammering down in Surbiton with the odd rumble of thunder. Got lucky with only my second walk around Kingston in 2021, it stayed dry bar the odd shower and felt good to be out again.

Been nice and sunny here, apart from yesterday between about 6pm and midnight. Don't mind rain when I'm in.

Oh great! I've got to pack last minute items and then hand maneuver the caravan off the drive and then hookup for the journey to Norfolk. And it's piddling down. The soggy summer continues..... ☔

This wasn't forecast to come so far North.. I don't mind it though as I had to move a few plants in the school grounds yesterday to different areas, so it'll give them a good drink.

On this day last year, we have 30c temps before midday, today its 15c and rain showers around, although so far the rain has missed us, like it did yesterday.

Flooded roads galore between Surbiton and Kingston this morning with plenty more rain still to come judging by the radar.

Yet more torrential rain passing through Surbiton. Looks like another deluge to come before drying out for a bit. Quite noticeable how frequent these very heavy bursts of rain are over the last few weeks!

Really poor from the Met office, they had a fairly fragmented area of light-moderate showers coming into the area. Instead we got something that absolutely warranted a yellow warning IMO and in a part of this region quite an intense period of rainfall.

AROME did a far better job with that area than the UKV, it at least acknowledged it even existed as a band!

Had a couple of very brief heavy showers come through, but mostly sunny with cloudy skies on/off. Feel warm when the sun is out, surprising how a few miles can make such a difference in the rainfall.

Couple of heavy showers earlier, luckily missed this big mass travelling up from the Kent area by a few miles (just as well as it gave me a couple of hours working outside).

Hello all from a very wet and soggy Prestatyn. Just had some truly impressive rain for about an hour the sound on the caravan was immense. Sun's out now hoping for some restbite before the next round heading in off the Irish sea

May have been a rumble from this earlier, it did deposit some heavy rain.

Bulk of the convection is staying out towards the coast. 

Nice clear skies now and pleasantly warm.
