I'm not going to be on here much tommorrow as I'm probably going to be taking a lot of videos of Eoin Morgan lol but im taking my camera with me, was wondering if you have a camera or just use your phone?

I just use my phone for everything. I’d love to use my camera but I need a new SD card and keep forgetting to order one

A beautiful start here and a lovely satellite image to compare with this morning's fax chart, highlighting the occluded front out in the Atlantic and the area of low pressure over Biscay to our south.

But as over the last several days it's a case of get out and about early to enjoy the sunshine before the cloud bubbles up and showers develop. And yet another low bowling in to spoil the weekend. What a frustrating summer.

What a lovely day yesterday was; perfect for rowing up and down the River Waveney under almost unbroken sunshine.

The last couple of days have been quite cloudy but still, so not feeling too bad. A bit more breeze from the south east today and a lot more in the way of blue sky. 22c currently.

Perfect august day here. Pretty much full on sun all day and 21c, light breeze.

Pleasant day here today. A largely sunny day for a change. Reached 21.3C. Overnight low was just 8.3C.

Gorgeous here today, bucket loads of warm sunshine and a nice breeze, perfect day for the washing.

Also got plenty of gardening done and topped some of the fields but ran out of time for grass cutting, might get lucky tomorrow!

If we don't hit 30C in mid-Essex this summer then it'll be the first year not to do so since 2009. (Mid-Essex being either the Andrewsfield or Writtle stations.)

I posted something similar a year ago and then we had 7 days of >30C temperatures; 6 of them in a row!

Looks like this will indeed be the first year since 2009 that neither Writtle nor Andrewsfield achieve 30C.

The closest was on 18th July - Writtle at 29.7C; Andrewsfield at 29.4C.

The good thing about this summer is that we haven't had to put up with weeks of stifling humid nights like the past four summers, and the heat hasn't been too fierce, otherwise an utter pants summer.

Anyone remember a worse summer in the South East. I must admit I can't. I suppose 2009 and 2011 were pretty rubbish but I don't think they were as dull as this one. Or windy!

Personally enjoying the cooler temps of this summer and the breezes which take the temps down even more, but then Im a heat hater. Dont get me wrong I like the sun, but anything over 24c and I start to feel yuk. The last few days have been lovely, sunny between 20-23c and a nice cooling breeze.  Only thing missing is a good storm or two, but then over here we dont get those even with 30c+ temps.

I like a fine spell late August/September. Pleasantly warm but nights not unbearably hot.

Oh yes please. Comfortable sleeping temps, misty mornings, warm, sunny days, the air fragrant with the scent of berries and fruits baking gently in the sun, mellow evenings with beautiful sunsets....warm sea temps...

Here's hoping....

Morning all, bit of a damp start but brightening up.

Got the grass cut yesterday, literally with 20 mins to spare!
