Storms now building to the NE of London and travelling SE. Fingers crossed IMBY, but the constant thunder from the south has been nice to hear.

It does feel a bit cooler now but it's still muggy indoors. Gonna be a stuffy night.

For those who know south London - reportedly (but I await photographic evidence...)  golf-ball sized hailstones in South Norwood about an hour ago, barely a spot of rain in Crystal Palace 2 km away. At least not yet anyhow.

Had some very heavy bursts of rain with huge raindrops and just eeked out a little rumble but not too exciting and starting to brighten up now
