Will it, won't it to the SW of London? I'm going won't. Sweltering in the garden.

Was just on the outskirts of the storm that's going through East Kent, was looking forward to a decent storm but only distant rumbles of thunder with the odd loud one.

The storm I was thinking might develop over East London has developed more to the other side of the river over SE London.

Looks very heavy rain over Bexley and Thamesmead and stretching back eastwards down the river.

Thunder almost constant from the east. Keeps missing by a few miles.

Skies suddenly darkening to the north and my phone lightning app just pinged so perhaps it’s not over for us yet?! ??

Chucking it down now, so I won't need to water the plants.

Nice bit of rain that saves me watering the garden here in Locksbottom.Been rumbling away since about 12.45 in our area but up until 15 mins ago we had no rain.It seemed to be just to the east of us that was getting the rain earlier.Incredibly humid and will be another uncomfortable night sleep wise I think

I'm surprised there aren't any reports from my area, 40 minutes back we had an absolutely massive storm.

A squall line with extreme winds, we thought it was a tornado, constant thunder, 1" hail, incredible amounts of rain. It's currently tracking SSE towards Maidstone and beyond.

I did take a video but can't share it due to a few expletives at the awesome power of this thing.

It ended with an awesome double rainbow with the bows at roughly 10 and 30 degrees above the horizon!!!!
