Well now the mid level cloud has cleared, the temperature has rocketed up here from around 25c to 28c in less than an hour.

Just love these hot sunny mornings and then watching the clouds bubble up in the afternoon with the anticipation of a possible decent thunderstorm. The first signs of some clouds building to the north west of here in the last 20 minutes or so

I really rate Dan but Norfolk is never the place to be, must be some sort of strange local effect! Maybe I should hang out some washing?

I'm in Neatishead and it's gone really hazy and muggy.....we might be in for it this time!

A cursory glance out of the front window, looking NW, tells me a long wait for an actually proper electrical storm in SE London (IMBY), might be over...?

Looking increasingly dark west of here and the latest radar grab has something developing just north of Cobham but will likely move south east away from here. Listening out for any distant rumbles

Strong onshore breeze now and skies clouding up, but not with the right sort of cloud.

Normal for Norfolk.

I have a horrible feelingit's going to stay North of here and we'll be left sweating relentlessly.

Well we didn’t escape today. Absolute monster storm just dumped a few mm of rain here. Amazing how quickly these develop - from nothing at 130pm to a massive cell in 40 mins.

Cobham here !! Yes it went really dark short shower and it just moved on - merely a few pixels on the radar but might go on to grow into a belter !

Seems to be struggling that one! Need something to develop in the Bracknell/Slough area for it to drift our way but skies aren’t promising in that direction at the moment. Feeling increasingly like everything’s going to be north and east of here but still early

Looks great the further East you are!

Absolutely sweltering here with plenty of blue sky about still, local station has us at 31.6c.

Cant get much further east than here (ok coast is 8 miles away so technically you could) but nothing, nowt, nada, just heat and more heat and more heat....you get the point.

Good afternoon all. Hope you're well. Many rumbles of thunder here this afternoon from 2 distant storms. An enjoyable sound!

Hoping we all get to share storms for those that love them. And for those that don't like storms by all means send them to us.
