Turned out a lot nicer this morning than was forecast. The system must have moved through quicker than was thought, 50mph gusts in the night not very common in summer. Sunny spells 17c and a fresh breeze.

Bright and breezy after early drizzle, may catch the odd shower later.

Make hay while the sun shines, or round up the Peepers after another unscheduled expedition into the veg garden....

Another fairly poor summers day to add to recent ones...a reasonably good start to June but for the last few weeks not particularly great and my garden won't stop growing as the result of it!

It's felt like November here this morning! A high of 13.5C, rain and strong winds!

Roll on summer.....

Squall passed through,  now only 16 degrees. If it gets any cooler the heating will be coming on.

After the initial rain this morning, its cleared to mostly sunny skies/white fluffy clouds, with one 10 min heavyish shower. Definately didnt warrant a wind warning, as nothing more than a fresh breeze today, all in all a nice day. More showers look to come through later but at 18c its perfectly pleasant temperature.

Good day for the gardens, not the gardener.  Stop start,  stop start with skies like this constantly appearing...

Yep it really is. Yet another gloomy sunless morning here. The relentless cloud and suppressed temperatures are beyond tedious. We’ve really only had a couple of weeks worth of summery weather so far this year, very poor indeed.

A very mild and very misty start to Friday. Overnight minimum of 14C and now 15C at 06.30. Today should at least feel a bit more like summer, with most places enjoying temps between 22C to 24C. But as is the way with this summer, yet more heavy showers building this afternoon to spoil things (or in @Surrey's case, to enjoy as he watches his toms swell ).

Well the lovely fresh breeze of recent days has gone and we're back in horrid humid muck. Yesterday heavy showers all around this area, but nothing quite reached here. Showers appearing on the radar again today, slow moving, wonder if they will reach us today?

Absolutely torrential rain for the last 10 minutes in Stowmarket.

A warm welcome to Netweather and the SE & EA Regional thread Juan.

I'm down the road in Hadleigh and it's looking very threatening all around now.

Variable amounts of cloud but much improved today and feeling warm. It’s not enjoyed by many but I actually really like the muggy feeling today!

Absolutely biblical amounts of rain in North Peterborough along with thunder, lightning and hail. Roads flooded badly. Yet at home there has been barely any rain at all.
