No frost this morning, not a bad day those the cloud built and spread out during the middle of the day. Not too bad, even if it was on the cool side.

A shallow disturbance will move in off the North Sea tomorrow that will allow deeper convection and some showers in places. Sunnier again from Friday and into the weekend but remaining cool with the risk of overnight frosts.

Frost first thing, as I walked the dogs it got cloudier from the east and just managed to walk through the front door when a brief shower occurred, a few showers coming in off the north sea today, otherwise supposed to be sunny in between

Well, well, well, we're off to a cracking morning -- heavy rain, hail and soggy snowflakes! What's not to like?

Cracking sunny start here, it'll probably cloud over later though.

Another what i hope to be sunny day here, yesterday was nice but that wind could really do one. Anyway went a little bit exploring yesterday and came across out-of-the-blue footpaths in the countryside which i only went a small way across them to gets a few pics and stopped off at a White horse for a drink in the middle of nowhere but it had lovely scenery and was quiet.

Good day to you all, lovely bright and breezy day here with nearly a clear blue sky, lovely to look at but unless you are sheltered from that wind very chilly out. I should add that it is quite a gusty wind out watching stuff blowing around so breeze wasnt the right description for the wind.

Towers have risen maybe some showers later, who knows maybe some lightning possibly but probably not.

Good evening folks,

Cold here and we have had the occasional light shower, but hardly enough to dampen the ground. The nagging north easterly wind makes it feel bitter out in the open. Will it ever warm up?

Hopefully next week will be better. Our central heating has gone wrong and we have a heating engineer coming to sort it out next Thursday. (It has been a problem that previous engineers have been unable to resolve and going on for about 2 years, although until now it had been working, albeit unreliably.) My guess is after Thursday the weather will warm up. In the meantime we will be using a small fan heater to warm the living room and wrapping up well.

Kind Regards

Dave

Morning everyone, sunny but cloudy as well here we still have a strong wind and no doubt its a cold one. Looks like the weather is taking its time to warm up, heard yesterday the farmers are having a rough time at the moment, one potato farmer said his crop will be delayed for several weeks. Watch out for prices rises on all potato products

Looks like its been a nice day outside, been in bed most of the day with nasty bout of Gastritis, had ambulance out last night as thought was having heart attack, several ECGs later, not heart attack thankfully. Doctor diagnosed gastritis, given meds but been in agony so looked at weather whilst lying in bed, easing off a bit now, hopefully a nice weekend to come, got loads of washing to do!

Well got down to -2.4 here again this morning here in locksbottom but temperature rose and was pleasant in the sun although still a chill in the air in the shade and when the wind blew.Amazing this last 5 nights we have had 4 sub zero(coldest -3.7) and one night where it fell to 1.3.It has been a long time where we have had a consecutive number of cold nights like that down here ,especially in April !!.So far this month we have had 8 frosts although the good thing is at this time of year and the height of the sun the frost is pretty much gone by 7.30.Another notable point is that is pretty much 3 weeks since we have had appreciable rainfall!!Goes from one extreme to the other in this country but that’s why we British always talk about it!!

Down to -1c last night, however we have clear skies unlike the last few mornings where there has been some cloud drifting through.

Thanks SL, not too bad today and the OCD cleaning person that I am, cant deal with dirty washing that needs doing!

Nice bright start to the day, frosty but feeling not too cold in the sunshine and bonus no awful strong winds.

Morning All,

Currently 8c and rising nicely... Could breach 15c this weekend which would be very nice.. GFS drops the cold blip next week and brings in some warm air from Europe showing over 20c some days later in run HELLO SPRING! (Finally)

This is why this time of year cold is pointless for any cold lover or anyone really. The sun is gaining so much strength now with it starting to rise around 5am now. By the time most are up all frost is gone and it warms up.

Washing out and drying in the sun, (also hoovered, yay me) doesnt feel too breezy in the garden, might venture down to the millennium green for a woofer walk later, then of course it might feel windier. Personally quite happy for it stay with frosty nights and sunny days, warm enough for me, not a 30c+ person and more than happy not to have days of rain and dull yuk.
