as bernard mathews would say "bootiful morning here" another morning of lovely brightness and blue sky with a few clouds floating around, day like this not worried about not travelling abroad, have lovely county just hope we dont get too many tourists to spoil it.

Not interested in the boost to local economy tourism brings then...?

no because with all the extra housing that has and is being built most locals say our infrastructure cannot cope without the extra pressure that masses of campers and second home owners and of course day trippers inundate us with as soon as the weather turns nice

What are people's thoughts for early next week? Some forecasts seem to suggest we could hit 16-17c around these parts on Tuesday (not necessarily a fully-on sunny day mind) where as others (such as Netweather) have it similar to today, sort of 11-12c with the chance of rain.

There seems to be more certainty about the drop in temperatures from Wednesday and into cooler Easter weekend than what could happen on Mon/Tues?

Netweather is wrong. The models agree Monday and Tuesday being warmer days, with the latter we could be close to 20C!

*Except for the models which don't

Not saying they'll be right, but not all models are going for the warmth on Tuesday.

So far avoided the showers this afternoon, been mostly sunny with the wind picking up slightly, does look to be a line of showers headed this way though.

20c next week? would be nice indeed. Lets see what happens, got to get through the high winds being forecasted over sunday/monday first.

It's really a brief warm day and then the following day couldn't be more different!

Yay!
First 20c of the year showing on my app (WeatherPro).

Sadly it all goes down the toilet after that...

A little bit of interest for later today as a cold front quickly moves through, bring the usually short, sharp burst of heavy rain and squally winds along the convergence line.

But my real interest is Monday and Tuesday as I'm planning to take advantage of the lifting of lockdown to have my neighbours join me and Mrs Blessed on Monday afternoon for some drinks and nibbles in my revamped back garden. Then Tuesday a few mates around for some tinnies. I'm so looking forward to the social interaction as I find zoom calls, whilst better than nothing, so frustrating as only one person at a time can talk.

Temps not looking bad at around 16-18C Monday and 18-20C Tuesday according to ICON. New rockery area of the garden ready.

Putting cattle on float for market yesterday and was hearing from lorry driver that what kept them busy for the first two months of the first lockdown was driving stones from up here to for the south of England for garden makeovers.Up here with our glacial soils they are a pure cost causing  machines  breakdowns from ploughs  to combines.Try to remove as many as we can see every spring but with 40 feet of boulder clay overlying old red sandstone its a 600 year job as every year another layer comes up.Positive side is they help to warm soils in spring and help drainage.

A cool, cloudy, and breezy start to the day. As already posted, it seems the 'cold' front passes over at around 2pm or there abouts. Seems to leave us with a cooler weekend and then next week's madness start. Still a few variations on the theme but the trend seems to show the warmth being replaced with the cold in the space of a few days!

Interesting. I can well imagine larger stones damaging machinery such as combines. Most churches around here are built with 'flint rubble' as a major component and I wonder how many stones were recovered from local fields (walk around Suffolk footpaths and they're everywhere).

Quite a well defined squall line heading into the Region:

Lovely start to the day with the sun shining, tad windy though and now the dark clouds are rolling in, could be a lively shower or two on the way looking at the radar.

had lovely bright start to the day but lots of strong wind gusts, still got bits of blue sky but heavy cloud cover building up and wind gusts pretty hefty nice for kite flying or wind surfing enthusiasts

Well that was a more interesting day of weather. And to end, a wonderful sunset as the cloud cleared east and the setting sun lit up the underside of the departing cloud.
