pretty much the same here to how Blazerblue just put it, low of -1.9c and up to -0.7c now so feeling a bit chilly.

absolutely loving the mild weather we’ve been having, yesterday’s 11.7c felt blissful sitting in the sun with no breeze at all

A cloudy old start here, about 5c, so warmer in the morning than it has been. Every forecast today suggests something different around here, but saying that they got yesterday a bit wrong too as cloud tended to bobble up during the afternoon, so who knows if this will burn back or not. Regardless a cooler day expected, highs of around 9-10c as there seems to be more of an easterly breeze developing?

Yet another frosty morning with the overnight min temp down to -0.3C. The long-term records for my local station (Wattisham) show we should get around 30 air frosts in an average winter (D/J/F). Unfortunately I've not bothered keeping any records this time but wonder if anyone else in EA has?

Looking like another very pleasant day ahead once the early morning fog has burnt back to the coast. Checking the satellite sequence shows good progress with the area of fog shrinking nicely. Here's how it was looking at 08.45:

Well the fog cleared just before midday and now we have clear skies and just a few patches of high cloud.

Afternoon all,

Hope I find yourselves and your Families, well.

I spoke to South East Meteorologist Ian Currie, about an hour ago.

He would like to pass on his thanks to those 3 Members, that bought the package of his publications, and hopes that you are enjoying them.

Ian was preparing for his 1.20 Weather slot on Radio Surrey's Gardening programme, "Dig It."

See link to BBC Radio London, below. I will be listening, as Ian will be giving an extended Forecast, during his slot.

Radio Surrey - Listen Live - BBC Sounds

Regards,

Tom.

Last day of winter...sun broken through and feeling pleasantly mild, a good way to end the season which in general has been pretty mucky and chilly at times. January was an aberration with many cold rainy days and some minor flooding.

Still looking like 2020/21 will still only be close to normal on the1961/90 CET series...which says it all.

A glancing touch of cold towards end of the week but still could be sunny and pleasent in the day under sunny skies..

Very de ja vu of last year with a dry march infact the speed the ground has dried up here is incredible I've never seen it dry out so fast.. I think the cold dry air a few weeks back helped..

This time last year we had the fire in the hedge which was caused by 3 weeks of bone dry weather ...
