Wow, nothing here in Benfleet!

Took 10 mins from start to finish lol couldn't believe it. Literally got home from work about 11.15. Roads all clear and dry no shiny ice down side road now all covered again and considering my engine warm it settled on car quickly

This forum does remind me what a weird shape it is and how far Surrey covers! When I see someone in Surrey I always think they are near me! I’m on the Surrey/hants  border so a long way from some Surrey areas!

Good evening, I'm up East Malling way which did have some flakes from the very northern edge, but wasn't enough to settle after the morning sun. Did not do well out of today as the twig drifted south, obviously a bit of imbyism there!

Major disagreements on how cold it'll get tonight so will be interesting to see, -10c according to BBC...

EDIT: apologies if you've already received this, my new message box has this still in it so pressed submit to make sure

I will happily sacrifice the minus 10 for extra snow cover. The last few showers have properly covered up the bare patches and the roads. Minus 3 is my guess here with all the cloud

It makes me realise how weird weather can be, that someone 5 min drive away can have totally different weather sometimes extreme weather.

Some reports of lightning seen near Southend. Can anyone on here confirm this?

Look im no expert I've been here 12 years and I learnt few things and love looking at radars so just popped on rain today and noticed this big red growing blob appearing out off of northern France, its growing in size quite rapidly, someone take a look?

Nothing being picked up on the detectors, so probably not.

Evening all. Anyone any idea on whether these streamers will hit the Petersfield area in East Hants? They look like they're moving our way but I'm sure they'll be light snizzle or totally dissipated by time they're here. I'm not optimistic, based on this pretty crap week out these parts tbh.

Had a light snow shower with proper flakes earlier when I was working outside over Haslemere way, and then on the drive back going SWwards I drove through some light-moderate bigger flakes with very unstable looking convective snow clouds all around me with classic yellow bases. Of course the heavier snow moved Midhurst way right across the S Downs according to the radar....

I'm going to stare at the radar unblinking until they do..

There's even been a slight pepping-up in the last couple of frames.

Very light flurry here in Locksbottom at 11.50 and I think the showers are losing intensity now even though wind has shifted more favourably for NW KENT and South London.Amazing some of the snow in mid north and east Kent.Everywhere down there will look stunning in the sun tomorrow.

temp -3.6 here so beaten coldest night of winter by 0.5 already.Hoping for -5 tonight here but reckon -10 will be reached in Kent and other places in SE

stay safe

Maidstone has been a bit of a slow burner in this cold snap, but this evening has been a nice suprise.  Looks like there could be more to come too.  Nice to see the radar picking up towards us rather than just disappating over the downs.   I didn't expect tonight, assumed we would just see continued thaw tomorrow once the sun gets up so nice that it is going to be a winter wonderland in the morning!

Well, it spite of only getting a couple of cms out of this, I've seen falling for 4 consecutive days, 5 if I count the few flakes on sat night, accompanied with the rain, missed a lot of the showers tonight, and when I do think it's on, they lose intensity

Not unless you can stay awake for another 3 hours or so, winds still haven't shifted enough to blow them towards London.

Watch this, run the animation and decide :D
