That looks quite impressive. Anyone east of Canterbury should be licking lips!

Yep, went for a walk in this one, lovely dry fine snow, settling everywhere, and not blowing away, in the wind. It's perfect.

Just got in from work and its snowing heavily again. Had a couple of heavy showers in Maidstone and I'm guessing Ashford had a few aswell as my road is covered again.

I took this photo this afternoon in Maidstone looking east.

Tonight’s minima from the GFS parallel

-10c somewhere with snow over looks possible. The next three nights could all end up sun -5c for many locations in the region.

I don't think it's over yet for anywhere in Kent or south Essex tonight. Last few radar graps showing the streamers starting to pivot back the other other way.

Can we go through  all the different streamers this evening as the winds swing around to eventually south Easterly.

Still showers  up north so the increase in pressure will still allow convection.

Thou gets to a point where the shorter sea track will reduce convection

Need to see falling snow after midnight to register 5 days of falling snow .

That would put it up there wth some of the best spells.

I was analysing this spell to soon I think.

Been great this afternoon/evening.

Do we think tmrow is likely to be an ice day?

Meto has Zero IMBY.

I've set my camera up just in case there is a flash of lightning in some of the snow showers near the EA coast. Am I right about there being a risk of lightning in these showers, or am I being thick?

This next cell has our name on it a little later

Looks like a head on collision unless the wind veers more ENE

Envious of everyone’s snow during this spell - Great to see the pics and videos! Can’t believe us in Cambs missed out in the last spell and have also missed out on this spell!! Needed a good frontal system but just didn’t materialise this time to give a more widespread event, never mind! Enjoying the cold none the less. Still time for some frontal snow yet mind... I’ll give it till mid March!! But I am looking forward to spring now

And the more I look out the window, and see snowflakes in the streetlights, the more the tunes of the early 1960s come into my head... Sorry peeps!

You can tell it is cold across the country, we are using every means possible to generate enough electricity!

Speaking of lightning, a strike has been detected around 10-15 miles off the Kent coast
