Trying to snow more here as the band sinks south, large flakes floating by but still fairly light.

We just have to accept being in in the worst spot for snow. I’ll trade it off for Cambridge being one of the best places to live and warm in the summer!

Indeed, the hottest place in the UK!

Got Canterbury's name on it!  Slowly drifting East by the looks of it.

Worse spot for snow? Try living on the south coast! At least the summers are good eh.

When it’s convenient, do you mind posting a ruler measurement for the snow depth. It’s useful to keep a running tally throughout the region.

There were actually a couple of heavy snow showers this afternoon at work. Enough for a dusting at least to close out this spell.

interestingly, perhaps the first signs of Spring as these showers have been able to hold themselves together today. Beautiful clear blue skies between these showers.

Looks like one final heavy burst here, then the rest stay in the north sea, has the wind gone NNE?

Some nice fluffier flakes at the moment, adding a slight dusting.

Heaviest snow of this cold spell, over the last 30 mins, blue sky across the valley, really hoping this is not the last snow I see

Heaviest snow of the week has just started falling randomly. Looking at the skies I don't think it's going to last more than 5 minutes though as the sun's shining!

Infact it's stopped whilst I typed this.

Even Hastings has snow falling. I am out of the country for the foreseeable but keeping an eye on it still, to see what I am missing out on although I am 1000 miles east experiencing minus 10 max daytime to minus 22 min night at the moment, snow on the ground for 51 days now, only 5 days have been above 0 here, and that was only 2c for a couple of days under overcast skies so not much melted. But max depth has been around 15-18cm.

Anyway

Hastings live webcam. If it snowing here then it means somewhere not too far away is doing very well such as Kent. Fizzles out by the time it gets to Hastings usually. I heard 2009 or 2010 was good... Jan or Feb.

There's some shower activity popping up around london and intensifying as they move south

Their power supply is about to set, though.

Some of the snow flakes seem to be going upward, is this cos the winds fallen light, or has the world turned upside down?

Actually some UHI effect seems to be sustaining/bolstering the ones coming across Central London.
