However, as the wind shifts through E to SE it will be drier air and higher pressure so will kill any ppn.

Well yeh, but as I said still looks good until that happens

Doesn't rule out a surprise from France though, seen that a few times. Although not expecting anything at present. I will be analysing sat and radar tomorrow to see if anything pops up.

The winds are due to shift back to more of a North/North Easterly tonight before backing full south easterly in the early hours! So still a good chance for many later too

I would like you to be right. But it was cloud on metoffice forecast and as another poster states as the winds change it is because of high pressure also leading to dryer air.

South east Kent are in for a treat though

It's snowing!?‍♂️

The best we've managed here is a steady drizzle of snow at times.  Barely had enough to make a snowman's fingers!

Definitely been a case of a winter expecting to get a Fernandes but ending up with Gedson instead of Bruno!

Looks like Cambridge could be getting some snow soon @mb018538

Just seen this quote from yesterday - a flake or two was all that arrived ! Just a beautiful winters day instead. Nice to see some sun!

Doesn't help that each day that passes now the sun gets stronger and stronger.. You only have to stand init to notice the difference from December..

Gaining near 3 minutes of daylight now as well

Yes, having just been out for a walk its surprising how few areas there are that dont get touched by the sun this time of year. Its not melting much in the shade, but then there isnt much shade!

Hi, Gillingham's snow is melting fast sadly. We had a lovely heavy snow shower at midday which lasted about half hour and did very little to add anymore. The main roads are clear and everything moving ok.

From ramsgate also. I was hoping it would show up and the convergence is still due to deliver heavy snow  for us here in Ramsgate??

Winter 2021, hands down best snowfall since 2010 for this part of Kent! - Blizzards, heavy snow, hail storm, thunderstorm and today was the best of all, so much snow on the ground now :)
