this is going to be torture if the showers don’t clip Great Wakering / Shoebury, just watching them head straight into Kent.

Had some light snow an hour ago, but cleared now and the sun is working on melting the snow in direct sunlight. Sticking fine in shaded areas.

Have snow as far south as Dover now, only light here, but better flakes then the small stuff we've been having, and also as the icy road melted a bit earlier, more people have driven off. Oops, as I can see this will get heavier in a few hours, and even this light stuff is showing signs of settling.

After a lovely sunny morning, it's now clouded over and light snow is falling in Bexleyheath.

You got me to "curtain twitch" Leeanne but nothing fell here in Lee, a little to your West.

It has clouded over, after a Sunny Morning but the cloud is very thin.

All the action is to our E./S.E.

Unless the flow undergoes some sort of last minute "Damascene Conversion", apologies stole that line from our heavily tousled P.M., during his stint at the despatch box at P.M.Q.'s, likely to stay that way for the rest of the Day.

With no Snow action in my neck of the woods, decided to take a close look at that 06z GFS run in it's latter stages, and we could be led on another Synoptic Snow Chase again, if the American Model is to be believed, this at t228, t264 and t288 :

All way off in la la land, of course.

Regards,

Tom.

Just looked a thee metoffice video forecast for tonight. Showed a curved  streamer setting up right up the Thames affecting most of London Essex and Kent.

Hello. It was light cloud filling the south east tonight not snow.  Notice that the double digit sub temperature has gone I guess because there is now a signal for cloud.

Any chance for later?

Can’t rule out the odd shower between now and tomorrow morning. But they will be light and few. Wind turns more ESE tomorrow so it’s all over from that point. All about how cold the next few nights will be now.

Starting to snow very lightly,  though the flakes are much bigger than anything we had over the weekend. Might take a walk this afternoon after all. The paths surrounding the main roads aren't too bad it must be said.

If this doesn't make it to the Brighton conurbation I don't know what will!

It's nice and sunny here, although there are a few snowflakes dancing in the wind, can see we are currently under light PPN on the radar. Currently showing as around 1c after being under freezing all morning
