Can’t tell from the radar, any idea how long this is meant to last?

The convergence will gradually move southwards, could last a few hours though.

Just what I wanted to hear. This could finally be a proper covering!

Very heavy snow in Rochester the best we've had since this whole thing begun! Just goes to show how things can pop up at the last minute, really wasn't expecting this! Decent sized flakes too!

A lot of yellows appearing in North Sea.angle of attack is just too far to south of me but I would say Sevenoaks could get a good covering in next 2-3 hours.fascinating watching it all unfold and hope some places get plastered.these could be heaviest showers of this spell!!

Proper convection looking east from here sliding just offshore, Faversham to Maidstone and Sheerness you are in for a very heavy spell of snow in the next 90 minutes

Hoping this band is a bit south of the last one and might make it down to me - although the north downs will almost certainly kill it.

You can upload photos here from your phone...

It's a really basic Nokia phone - I can only send pics to email addresses or other phones, it's never been a problem before yesterday and today, hopefully a temporary blip.

This is absolutely beautiful1 Coming down thick and fast, 50p flakes, heaviest snowfall so far!

Only adding totals where snow already was though, struggling to cover clear patches of ground.

I don't want showers yet really...rather wait till 3/4 when sun is beginning to go down! Fingers crossed for another covering tonight!

I'm hoping my ice helps it stick, looks like the lighter stuff is finally going to get here soon, been just missing me either to the south or north for ages now lol.

Looks like we're both in for a good spell of on/off streamer type moderate snowfall for the next few hours Paul! :santa-emoji:

Not so confident here, all we will get its the outside edge of the big showers.

As I said earlier 7 or 8 miles east on the tip of the coast around the MOD Land at Shoeburyness and Great Wakering will expereince much better than Leigh On Sea, Southend might even doe well out of this.

The Line through the Isle of Sheppey down towards Medway Towns gunna be stuck under this line for hours, it keeps back building as well, if the wind was ENE we would be laughing now

Some convective clouds drifting in from the North Sea again after some clear, crisp sunny skies for the past hour. Another snow shower wouldn't go a miss to be honest .

Video of this morning's snow shower before skies cleared around 10:30 am.

Just starting to look a little more promising on the radar for us in mid Sussex,as long as it makes it over the north downs and ashdown forest without breaking up! Winds have definitely become a little more north easterly today so we'll see!

He would stay out in this all day if he could, went out with broken clouds and sun trying to get through to almost a whiteout, still falling here in Sevenoaks not settling on roads. Have to say KCC gritting team have done a good job here with primary routes.

Radar does seem to have lots of holes in. Frustrating! Are they holes or radar issues?

For convection the holes are normal, the radar can't keep up.

Hello @Paul Sherman is there any further forecast or  views on the convergence zone in Kent slighting adjusting to being more of London region into play.  Think you mentioned early that thing might align a smidge more east north east?

Absolutely chucking it down here in Sittingbourne. Starting to cover existing snow now.

Can't believe I had the window open airing the house half an hour ago as there was a blue sky.. now it's a grey snowy sky.
