Literally between the two lines of showers! Looks like Moses is standing on Brighton Pier waving his staff around! ....how unlucky. Hoping you get a direct hit later.

Fingers crossed

Wow, where did this snow come from???

Amazing. Hammering it down and everything is completely covered again.

And 6 miles up the road, we have a flurry!

We usually do well with just our elevation at about 370ft asl but this time we've been in slightly the wrong spot most days. I vote for move!

Takes the complete liberty ENE wind London city... Southend N taking clumps down coast, feeling very underwhelmed I’ve never done this badly from a real cold easterly, well actually northeasterly a lot of time.

Very frustrating yesterday was ESE wind leaving us just about dry for the most part of the day and today NE/NNE in NW Kent again with us just missing out grrrrr. Oh well weve had a few dustings better than nothing.

IF it comes off, we seem to be in a good position early/late afternoon onwards for another covering. Maybe more. 2-5cm at most prob! But these set ups are completely unpredictable

Been under the heavier echos on and off all morning but no real change in the totals on the ground.

Eton Rd is about a mile from me - we're on the border of Chelsfield & GSG!

My personal opinion (and sure it's dictated by the lack of settled snow here, just as people who currently have boatloads of it will disagree) is that streamers are an absolute lottery and a complete waste of time unless you are one of the favoured few.  4/10 for this spell here, and that's being generous for the shear snowfall longevity given that it's actually produced next to nothing here.

Give me frontal snow any day of the week...at least then it's not usually an argument between those that want a ENE vs NE...

Agree, whilst we have had like 3 days of continuous snowfall there is barely anything on the ground here in East London. Unbelievable from this Easterly considering we are in the East!

Looks like Kent is going to do very well in the coming hour, or more.

Here, just ‘fluff’ flying around on the outskirts of it all not adding to any totals, but a nice reminder we are still in the grips of this cold spell.

Proper convection looking east from here sliding just offshore, Faversham to Maidstone and Sheerness you are in for a very heavy spell of snow in the next 90 minutes

Well, some things never change: last night's six hours' 'app snow' never happened! Lovely and sunny, today!

As others are finding elsewhere, it's rather splitting around us in SW London. Beautiful blue skies morning to start, a bit of snow still holding on in shaded bits and bobs but it all kind of feels over now snow-wise.

Looks like we're both in for a good spell of on/off streamer type moderate snowfall for the next few hours Paul! :santa-emoji:
