If only mate

the returns always look good

just never materialises

great spell for cold

but snow a no show

surely a great easterly is when the whole region gets pasted

just my thoughts

II’ve had a look at UKV tonight. Suggestion is that as the wind swings more NE a convergence zone pivots from the Thames estuary southwards, so the band will move southward at the westerly point as the night progresses. By midday tomorrow the pivot should be from the estuary to Brighton before moving even further east during the afternoon. So those areas in the pivot zone should get some snow depending upon the strength of the convergence and wind strength.  Perhaps 2-5 cm in some areas.

The last chance saloon for these areas methinks

I thought East kent/Kent was more in the firing line tmrow wth that convergence along wth east sussex.?

Snowed quite heavily here around half an hour ago, enough to redust my car which was completely clear after my drive this afternoon.  Still snowing but eased off a bit.

Nope. I don’t rule that out, more that that scenario is too far away for close short term analysis.

Another winter, another disappointment here in Brighton

Try and be positive , we saw snow , it’s been better than the last few years . I know it’s frustrating but fingers crossed tomorrow might give us a bit more

Yep marie, and Brighton still has a fair chance tomorrow of an unexpected snowfall from the dropping convergence zone.  Another day of radar watching

Any possibility of snow in East Hants tonight?

Woke up this morn to another dusting, more than Monday's too. Very white everywhere but polystyrene really. Half of it was gone though by close of play today, with the slight sunshine we had this afternoon, despite being bitterly cold (I would know, I was working outside in it!)

Be nice to wake up to an actual light covering at the very least, something made of actual flakes.....Not that see any chance of any streamers down here reaching these parts "west."

Perhaps the weekend will be better.....

The feature now shows on radar as light snow in places moving north.

At least I think it'll keep moving north, but the ppn is moving with the wind.

Keeping an eye on another possible unforecast convergence zone developing between Tenterden and burgess Hill on last few radar runs.

It’s is the Thanet wind farm array, almost perfectly aligned with this satellite photo of the location
