looking good for the south of the region this morning ..let’s hope it settles easier today. DP here is currently -4 so the air is FYRE and the ground is frozen solid so I’m hopeful of a cm or 2 . Currently have about 1-2cm so grass not totally covered and not quite enough for sledging

Another light covering in Ely (maybe 0.5cm) this morning curtesy of the fleeting snow showers last night, didn't really get going which is a shame but not a surprise in these parts!

Last throw of the dice potentially this afternoon if that line of showers sets up through mid-EA as the charts depict, otherwise.... until the next time! Good to see quite a few places in the East and SE getting some decent snow, for us in inland EA it's been a bit of a disappointment but then again easterly's don't often delivery for us!

-1c here this morning, light top up overnight but it’s so windy it’s blown all over the place so can’t say how much.

Currently a few flakes blowing about but just seen the sun. Fingers crossed for tomorrow’s convergence line staying where it’s forecast and giving us a last layer.

Do we have a new Streamer Name here the BSS

Blackwater Snow Streamer

Looking good along that line

OK Paul,

I'll trump you with the B.L.C. Streamer, Bexleyheath > Lee > Catford Streamer, delighting Snow Raven > Mark/Myself > Nanu.

Regards,

Tom.  ❄️

Clearly a decent overnight event here, looks like another 4-5 cms to me.  At some stage I'll do some measuring but I'd guess a total of 12-15cms so far.

A picture of the classic undisturbed bin.

Probably an inch or so of snow (3cm) here in Reigate now.

does anyone live near Bramley / wonersh? My wife has to head that way for work today? What are the conditions?

Hey, Plum. I am in Bramley. Roads are fine, bit slippery near Wonersh but roads are all clear. We have been right on the edge of any precip and have had maybe 5 flakes per minute for the last 3 days

Morning

very light snow last night, possible 1cm in some places, nothing on the trees though!

it’s now been snowing continuously for 24 hours but it’s just so fine it’s really not producing anything! It’s almost worse than having none! Especially as we haven’t had heating all winter!

nothing forecast for today again, am I deluded thinking this may come over me here in Farnham, Surrey??
Have a good day everyone x

Although very slightly missing us just below Orpington, only by a matter of a couple of miles! Slight, fine snow but nothing to write home about. We have a good covering though.

Sadly we are in the blank patch in between the heavy showers south of the Wash / North Norfolk, and the S-E snow which is covering most of Essex and some of Suffolk.

However, unlikely the poor guys in Cambridge we did at least get our few cm in the first wave, which is still lying / continuing to drift around. Slightly above freezing point now though, unlike further South / inland.

Lets hope so, this is our last chance today. Really quite a let down so far. Its funny as a few ice days, very low dp's and some snow around would normally leave me very happy, but so much more was forecasted.
