I thought it wasn’t meant to be easing off this morning but it’s still going strong here.

We’re nearly up to 2 inches

Just wanted to post up a couple of Snow pics, my Sister sent me Yesterday Evening.

She lives just around the corner, from Farnborough Village in the South of the Borough of Bromley.

The area lies at around 100 Mts, A.S.L.

It is just enough South, to have benefitted from the last few Days of Snowfall.

It also lies far enough North, to do very well in Thames Streamer, events.

Being in the Foothills of the North Downs, any Snowfall is enhanced by a little bit of elevation.

The Photos were taken in my Sister's back garden, and features my Niece, in the first one:

Below, is an image of nearby Orpington Station but not sure if it was taken recently, or after the Thames Streamer of February 2009:

Regards,

Orpington:  Must be a few years back, that class 319 train on platform 6 haven’t run in to there for a few years, replaced by new 700s, so I’d guess it’s 2009.

Snowing again this morning, had a bit over night as the footprints are covered over, which leaves a lovely icy treacherous mess. Bigger flakes this morning but very light.

I can see the band to my south east and showers passing to my north west, a few flakes fluttering down ATM. Doesn't look there was any more snow overnight. Everything frozen solid temp now -2.8.

Some of the heaviest snow in Locksbottom since mid afternoon Sunday.everything covered and temp -2 @ 8am.

Looks like this spell will end Saturday/Sunday now as cross model agreement this morning.a milder spell but will we have one more cold spell before the end of winter.I wouldn’t rule it out.

stay safe

Still coming down lightly but harder than it managed at any point yesterday!

Same here, heaviest snow so far, I'm under a darker pink radar return for the first time

Again, I seem to be just on the wrong side of the edge of where it's falling. Seems to be a recurring theme, this.
Maybe if I'm lucky I'll pick up some dregs.

Woke up to a “heavier” dusting this morn and very light snizzle blowing about. It’s white outside, but doesn’t feel like proper snow really!

These SE streamers have been pathetic so far.....

Looks like we’ve had a top up of a couple of cm overnight and it’s snowing now, not much snow in the forecast for me today, but on the cards for tomorrow? We’ll see

Still snowing here, a winter wonderland haven't seen scenes like this since 2018, you can see where half of the snow came from to make Frosty the snowman.

Morning,

I still can't get my head around the fact that its been snowing here in East London for 3 days continuously (when was the last time that happened) and we hardly have any decent snow depth.

Is it drying up to our south east over Kent. ?

Well I've seen the sun poking through a little this morning. Just had a light shower too. Glass half full me can see a bit of convection going on behind as the air clears. But we should all just be happy to have a glass at all.. right?!
