Can actually see this streaming to reading too

Time will tell

I'm in Reading and haven't been expecting anything until the winds change more Easterly, has this already happened? I can't see the current precipitation affecting me, happy to be proven wrong of course! (in fact I'm hoping for it!)

Hoping that the northern most streamer could expand and reading could get in on the fun mate

I hope so! Although won't be until tomorrow daytime as winds go more E/ENE.

I don't see the Thames streamer going north of the M4 personally, but really depends on the wind direction.

Looks more like an A3 event if at all the other side of London (Epsom, Guildford, Bordon etc.). Maybe M3 tomorrow daytime but we shall see.

We've done quite well since Sunday in the south of the Croydon area.  Plenty of sledging and fun with the kids in Selsdon Nature Reserve and Lloyd Park.  Looks like the ENE is giving us a little pep from the Thames and we also may do well as the winds veer more easterly.  Certainly a little lucky as we've been on the western edge of things.

  • Chilly with an increasing risk of frost

Once Monday's band of rain fades, the next few days will be drier. However, it will feel cool, even cold, in the breeze or under gloomy skies, with an increasing risk of frost. Read the full update here

Dubai Floods: Another Warning Sign for Desert Regions?

The flooding in the Middle East desert city of Dubai earlier in the week followed record-breaking rainfall. It doesn't rain very often here like other desert areas, but like the deadly floods in Libya last year showed, these rain events are likely becoming more extreme due to global warming. Week Ahead: Cool but largely dry until later in the week, when low pressure returns

We keep a chilly northerly flow going through much of the coming week, especially noticeable in the east. Cloud and rain spreading south Monday, but after that, most places largely dry until later in the week, when it looks to turn more showery. Read the full update here
