For the Thames streamer crew the EURO4 shows one setting up from about midday tomorrow onwards

That's accumulating snowfall, so looks like it could all be starting now and radar does suggest so.

Nice!!

Parts of the drive and road was clear as I left for work, so looks like a decent covering! Only thing is now we have moved the street lights go off soon, where as they stayed on all night in Eastwood so may struggle to see! Fingers crossed for tonight for you ??

Not our region but check out the convection kicking off just north of Dublin in Ireland goes to show how quick it can ignite if conditions are right.

I think the GFS is wrong, I'm looking at quite a few decent shower heading east over Essex right now, by the Thames. If they band together the game is on, and it'll be decent.

Let’s hope so then, but I’m on the south coast, we’ve had nothing other than dandruff so far

I think more of north Kent could be in the firing line, she is moving more south than those arrows, seems to be more this direction 9FD5A213-FD49-459C-AE05-010CDCE7BE6B.thumb.jpeg.3d1ac275f1ec5c6505504b3d196afdd5.jpeg

Light to moderate snow on and off here...on the Riviera (Dengie). About 1.5cm tonight, hopefully the streamer will burst into life a few miles to my north east.

Think that it is expanding as appears to not be moving south just growing

which is a good sign

IMO it looks like more of an E to W movement is developing in the Thames estuary as time goes on

Was just going to say similar... definitely puts the indicator on slightly coming across the estuary.

There certainly seems to be some convection in the estuaries, with  a bit more energy coming in off the N. Sea, but I am intrigued by the slightly odd radar returns on the last few runs in the S. Essex area. Is it anaprop, or is the Maldon estuary  beginning to produce?

Wondering if its worth staying tuned to this in my area. I live adjacent to the M3 so it could just miss or could be a jackpot situation (if you can call it that)

Taking the hi-res models literally there is some indication of a localised Thames streamer further west, near the M3/A3 just W/SW of London.

The question is will winds veer ENE for us? And will any moderate snowfall make it past the M25?

I'm hoping the low moving into N France will correct winds more widely in the region to E or ENE through Tuesday.

More likely more snow for those near the Thames estuary and maybe E London.

Good knows, I think like I said it starting. I'm just wondering if anyone else saw that flash a little while ago. But I guess just me and the other poster. Who just happens to live near Maldon.
