It seems that the whole area of snow over Essex/N Kent, although generally weakening slowly, is steadily translating SW, such that while individual pulses come and go, they are replaced by new ones a little further SW.

Snowing better now, but just going to miss out on the heavier stuff in Chelmsford currently as it’s fading away on the N edge.

More than a decent event here.  Snowed lightly most of the day then picked up in intensity about 5.00pm and has stayed moderate from then on.  All roads are covered and probably had another 2-3cm's over the last 3-4 hours.  Daytime high of -0.6c, so all in all an excellent day.

6/10 here currently, full on coming down! Parked my car about 5ish this evening, there's now roughly 2cm on top of it, most of that has come down in the last hour or two.

Finally some decent amounts beginning to build up! A few more hours of this and it could be rather impressive.

We only need a 2 or 3 hours and it will be lovely

Yep it’s still not the holy grail 50p mega flakes, but it’s coming down pretty hard!

The false returns near Margate and sometimes north of Whitstable could also be wind farms.

The ones in the USA pick up the Dodge City Windfarms and have fooled many a chaser into haring off at 50mph getting onto initiation lol

But don't know wether our crappy radars would pick up things like that but Doplar definately does

We've had light snow and snizzle since the early hours of Sunday morning here ( I'm 2 miles from the webcan location ) but absolutely nothing even remotely close to resembling a 'big storm' I'm sorry to say.  I can report 4-5cms of level snow on my shed roof and patio table though.  Everything falling on paths and patios melted on contact.

It were heavy, very foggy when it were lashing down and on top of the hill covered in white even on the beach a slight covering.. otherwise yes light snow just that period were good and yesterday morning it came down heavy for a hour but didn't settle

The snow to the east of London seems to be stubbornly refusing to cross the M25. Not expecting anything from it here now this far west

I think it's decaying at this point, coincidentally. We do have some light snow here now but nothing much.

Anyone got a link to that famous Dutch (I think) radar that shows further into the North Sea? Think it would help a lot of us tell whether convection /intensity is picking up.

Waar in Europa gaat het regenen? De Europese buienradar toont het je

Loads of convection forming basically from Cuxhaven, skirting Groningen, Leeuwarden and Den Helder looking to be eyeing Norfolk up!

Looking at the radar we might be getting just that.. lots more greens appearing now, doesn't seem to be an end in sight

Between The E Anglia coast and Rotterdam there’s bits forming, reckon they will have a chance if they can get going

An impressively cold day today, actually now the temperature is the highest it's  been all day, currently -2.4C with a low of -3.2C at 6am.

Managed to get son to the slopes to let him go sledging late morning. 4cm from on and off light snow since Sunday morning.

Snow certainly organising across Essex and North Kent, but seems reluctant to feed SW here for now, still the light stuff like it's been all day, though some of the high res models do indicate  Thames streamer miving SW from Essex across NW Kent and on toward W Sussex overnight.

We seem to be missing a classic convective snow shower easterly like being seen Lincs northwards along eastern coasts of England and Scotland. Persistent at times but never really heavy.
