Well, I'm sitting here in Tunbridge Wells.  I've fed the sheep that I look after this morning.  I always check them twice a day.  The snow has started again and I think that ever so gradually the flakes and intensity are increasing.  Due to flock I'm keeping a very close eye out of the window and on here.

Crazy heavy snow here and yet not adding to the powder snow of 3cm this morning, actually causing a very slow melt. Quite unreal considering it’s nearly -2c and easterly.

The 8cm on 24th January from the west was a lot more memorable. Bizarre

Same here, moderate snow all day but no further accumulation. Hopefully tonight

Snow very slowly building up micrometer by micrometer in C London, no melt here. Approaching 1 inch on surfaces without grit.

About the same here, its slowly built up.

Once sun sets and the temps drop again it is officially all to play for

Doing fair better here than I expected today, with plenty of moderate snowfall accumulating on all but the roads/concrete. Current temperature is -0.4c, making it a very probable ice day!

Yes, there seems quite an organised blob feeding into the East Sussex coast, around Bexhill and Hastings. It seems to lose intensity quite quickly , so I’m only getting light to moderate stuff from it but could be good for you guys for a while.

Snowing proper again here blowing off the roofs and drifting in the breeze, tis will probably reach Brighton soon.

Been snowing moderately here since 6am, beautiful dry powder snow until 10am

Fat flakes started at 11am and snowing very heavy pretty much throughout.
Paths are now wet and a slow melt with heavy snow falling at temps -2c

Can anyone shine a light?

Anyone know why there is a persistent loveheart-shaped hole on the radar?

Likely to be a radar issue. Theres one over southend and clacton too.

That Northern one is ideal for me if it just keeps coming SW.

Still haven't gone above freezing today

Been sitting under that more intense precipitation running through central London to almost Reading for over an hour, nothing to report other than some very light snow blowing around in the wind.

Will be interesting to see what the patch of precipitation over Broxbourne and Hertford gives. Seems to be heading our way / strengthening a bit.

It’s crazy Tim.
temps well below freezing, constant heavy snow for hours with no further accumulation.

Very strange.

Starting to get quite heavy now in NE London. Big flakes, blowing around in the wind.

It’s moderate snowfall .....enough intensity to actually just about cover a wet windscreen !

Things are definitely starting to pick up on the radar just off the EA coast and towards the Thames estuary. You'd expect these areas to gradually grow bigger and increase in intensity over the next hour or so!!

What is the magic of snow for everyone?

Why do we pray for the radar to hover just above our little dot?

One of life’s little mysteries!

1. Normally it shuts the school, 2 its the only "magical" thing that happens when you get older becuase its so bloody rare

I'm sure it hasn't 100per cent done this, but it feels like constant snow since 8am Sunday, crazy snow event in South Norfolk. When will it stop, not that I really want it too!

Nice to see everyone getting excited about the bigger flakes, suddenly I feel a bit more optimistic  Garden temp hasn't gone above -2.8 today, unless the sensor has permafrost
