Light snow falling now might build a snowman, anybody got any name ideas?

Frosty?  On another note slightly more snow falling but not settling very well.

Took a screen grab of the radar at midnight from the BBC.

Thames (ish) Streamer "Potential" not quite a true one.

Also perhaps some interest in the Channel for snow to funnel through the straight.

Much heavier now, slab still struggling to get covered though......this all bodes well for this evening where I have high hopes.

Yes much better now heaviest since this event started. Like the look of the streamer potential for here too.

A little further north than their online version, I’m hoping it’s somewhere between the two

It appears to be gaining traction already, the radar is getting 'filled in' at all points around the Sussex coast.

Uptick now in falling powder snow.

How can the ground be warm though? No doubt it would settle after dark.

You couldn't make it up...even with what little is falling in the local area, there has been a show shield hole on the radar around Romford for hours

Same here been snowing all morning but not settling. After dark this would have been a few cm’s by now.

I think we are looking for convective showers coming in this evening and overnight, rather than the mass of light precipitation to our East

At work now in Huntingdon, underneath that frontal band. Just thick high cloud and the occasional cumulus along with some patchy snow. The streamer over Lincolnshire remaining solidly a few miles north of Peterborough.

Now come on.. you want to screw up my journey home... don’t you...
