Did you not hear? The Stoke snow shield is now back and running at 100% power. It was in for repairs for a few weeks previous, but i'm afraid they found the part needed, and it's been fixed

Ridiculous. It’s been doing this all day. My luck really has ran out!

Shower coming through now, probably the last of this spell, so quite poignant!

Get yourself out and give it a salute

Snowing here now too, it's pretty light though apart from a slightly heavier burst a minute ago. Settling ok though now the suns gone down. Might get a bit more soon hopefully.

Been under those showers for several minutes and seen zero snowflakes. Thrilling stuff.

In fact, I can actually see a hole opening in the cloud over me.

Snowing in the distance yet again. About the 10th time today it’s done that.

I give up with today.

Not a flake here too! Literally see where it's opened up and moved around Stoke on the radar

If we have to have a return to mild muck, I’d take this breakdown from the GFS. Two snow events followed by a gradual rise in temperatures.

Few heavy snow showers passed through really quick leaving a dusting on all surfaces.

I did actually see some very light snowfall while the sun was going down, with heavier snow falling in the distance. It all settled but I wouldn’t even call it a fresh dusting it was such a small amount.

A stunning day despite the lack of showers really, beautiful clear skies and cold and the ground was nice and hard still. Tonight, how low can we go!

Cold nights don't excite me, unless there is decent snow on ground or on the way the next day, would much rather have a snow chance

-4.7'c here already , we had a heavy snow shower just before it got dark, that's helped the temps fall, a lot

Tbf I've just had a taxi customer say how much warmer it feels tonight. The wind has dropped so its actually a nice winters night.

Give me 2010 or a massive Snow event over these easterlies anytime.

Aye, agree with that! my favourite setup is Atlantic lows, similar to 24th Jan this year, not a crappy kitten from the East

I find sub zero temperatures with no wind to be far more pleasant than single figures with wind and rain.

Not sure that would be the case in -20’C!
