I thought last week was bad with this anticyclonic gloom... then came this week

Yes it's thickened again and the sun is gone. It looks like something a bit more broken is heading in from the North East, so Hopes for a brighter late afternoon.

It was grey today

It was grey yesterday

It was grey the day before that

It was grey the day before that too

It was grey but ended up sunny on Friday

It was grey on Thursday

It was grey last Wednesday...

It was grey last Tuesday...

It was grey last Monday...

It was grey on the Sunday too..

It was gloriously sunny on the Saturday, but I was up in Blackpool where it was grey and wet.

Easily the worst morning of the current spell. Low, misty dark cloud and light drizzle. Welcome autumn....not!

That's an easterly breeze here for you!

Same, welcoming sunny intervals is me

methinks them pesky clouds to the East will start to fill in my gaps though

Not to worry, at the moment it’s looking good from Sunday onwards, mid 20’s and sunny times ahead

It was the driest August since 2003 here with 52.5 mm of rain although 2013 recorded only 0.3 mm more . It was also the second dullest August on record, behind 2008, with just 84.3 hrs of sunshine.

Do you have temperature stats. It felt cool for most of the month?

Thank you. 21.3 is very poor for summer. 4 or 5 days of beating that ahead
