A charmed life with the rain today! It's been so close for about 5 hours, you could virtually smell it. Never quite made it though and we've stayed dry. You'd almost think it was January, and the band was snow!

66mm here today, an inch of which fell in just an hour this afternoon during a long torrential spell

probably reach the 70mm mark today, the wettest summer days i can remember, although i’m normally not in this region so who knows when it was last like this locally

Rain on Sunday looks to be drifting further east now, and approaching precip from the south may not reach either, seems to be a small bubble over the West Mids where very little is "predicted" to fall over the next seven days.

Very poor day here in N Worcs. A few minutes ago we struggled over, wait for it, 13 °C. Dull and overcast all morning and it's one of those days when barring the foliage and daylight hours it could easily be late October. Hopefully less cold after today, but any actual sight of the sun again may have to wait until Wednesday.

Not much different in South Worcestershire, the British weather is always well ....different!

To be honest the poorest  Summer solstice temperature in many years since I've been recording weather data. It's been warmer in January than it is today...!,!..!

A whole load of rain on Friday made for a grim day (an even more grim evening watching England!), nothing Saturday and a little overnight into Sunday morning but all dried up and that was pretty much our lot. Not quite as bad as forecast earlier in the week.

Have a good week everyone.

It’s been a washout since Friday but the weather doesn’t as bad as it did for the next week or so, mainly cloudy with temps around average.

Edit, latest radar at 20:20, over all most of Brum is getting a good old soaking but as Sheikhy mentioned *Flash flooding*  could be a possibility especially to the South of me as this isn’t moving very fast at all.

Looks to be Knowle Dorridge way

It’s moving very slowly East, on its way to you, whether it’s keeps its intensity will be seen

Storm been overhead for about  an hour and  a half, here between Shirley and Solihull centre.

Now drifting off SE  towards Knowle and later on Warwick.

Must half had 30 - 40 CC's but not seen any CG's,  with vivid overhead lightning and constant thunder cracks.

The storm seem to develop form nowhere just south of Bham, and is only slowly moving away.

Must have been on a convergence zone as the lower scud is racing directly south west. but the storm seemed to be moving from the north west.

12mms of rain in the hour here.

You can see how serious the rain is on the M42 which has several lanes blocked due to flooding. Hockley Heath seems to be the main bullseye. My brother in Shirley reports flash flooding and a mammoth storm.
