This is the trailing front from South to North(just west of me) which could bring light showers tommorow.

Murky morning. Expected to be just 17C today but luckily it’s only supposed to be poor for today and it’s back to above average temperature and sunny.

An improving day today after a wet start. Dry before lunchtime, and quite a bit of sunshine in the afternoon. Max 20.6 °C and feeling quite warm in the humid air. A reasonable though not amazing week in prospect by the looks of it.

Today was the sunniest day of the year so far here with 14.1 hrs of sunshine. Extensive cirrus this afternoon hardly interrupted the sunshine at all until well into the early evening.

Cloud refuses to go away I swear I've been on the back edge of this front for about 4 hours now.

Day 2 of the alleged amazing weekend, another cloudfest. Wish the presenters would stop hyping these things up.

Stubbornly cloudy here as well. This happens a lot in the Severn Valley - a forecast of "loads of sun from the word go" actually meaning "well, it may be sunny in a few hours."

Clouding over again! Only in the UK can you get overcast at mid-day in the middle of summer in the middle of a high pressure.

Sun come out a bit now, but has been a poor weekend on what I was expecting.

Brightened here a little but still 7/8 cloud cover. Noticed the BBC forecast going for 17c for NW England  (inc our area) from Wednesday. Heatwave anyone?

And we're back to 100% cover now, and it's really quite dull. Very disappointing day, and a bit of a rubbish forecast tbh.

24c nowhere near the forecast of 27c, cloudy most of the day. Some of the most dreadful forecasting I've seen in years, both Met Office and BBC disgraceful.

great summers day though still! was always meant to be a NW/SE split today, for unbroken sun, we were on wrong side

Fully cloudy till 1pm, infill cloud started appearing before the morning gunk had completely gone (how the..?), finally was mostly sunny about 5 but now cloudy again. Agree with others it was a very poor forecast (was not supposed to be any cloud till late afternoon)

The warmest day of the year so far with a maximum of 24.1c. Just waiting now to see if any storms develop, although looking at the latest radar it doesn't look very hopeful for this area.

Just a dribble of rain overnight, would barely moisen a tissue.

I hope a proper thunderstorm is on the horizon, as opposed to just the odd small rumble or two here and there. The Midlands seems to frequently miss out on any decent thunderstorms.

Expected a really grim day here compared to the rest of the week so far, but I was pleasantly surprised after this mornings rain. Brightened up and was nice enough for an afternoon walk.

Lets hope tomorrow can surprise too... although I very much doubt it!

After the wettest first half of May on record at this site ( since 1977 ) we've just had the driest first half of June on record with 3.4 mm of rain in the first 15 days.

It's possibly the driest first half of June for a lot longer as my previous site, 9 miles away but a lot lower, recorded 1.5 mm in the first half of June 1973.
