Wow. Just looked outside and there's a dusting of snow on grass cars and rooftops, like here on my conservatory roof.

It's snowing again, even though it feels milder than the last few nights (it started as drizzle) Not heavy enough to stick at the moment but probably would if we got some heavier stuff

That area of snow narrowly missed me. As did most of the showers over the weekend. One of the few places up this end of the country to not see settling snow this April.

A couple of pics, one of the garden (spot the cat!) and the other the view of the End Hill:

Well done some of you with the snow. Looks like the snow shield here stayed a bit too strong

Lovely day, a slight breeze but out of that it feels very spring like.

Anyway Birthday is me today, and the Big 50 it is

Spending it with the family and maybe my local beer garden later

Another frost this morning (lost track of how many in a row that is now!). The perk of these is the beautiful clear skys we've been having even if it only feels warm in the sun. Better than rain surely?

Another day like several before it here: fairly chilly when the sun goes in and you're exposed to that nagging easterly. But pleasant if you can find a sunny spot that's sheltered. Air is still cold, though, and the sunshine doesn't feel as warm on your face even in full sun as it did 3 weeks ago despite the stronger sun now. Max 12 °C and no real sign of getting above (if we're really lucky) 15 °C any time soon now the warmish spell next week has been moderated virtually out of existence.

I mean yes, this is better than rain, especially when your town has had two successive severe flooding winters. But it's not as good as warm sunshine! Hopefully May will come up with something.

Half way point in April now, temp average so far is 5.5c Average for March was 7.0c

Certainly has been dry here with only 2.4mm of rain so far, on the back of a dry March which had only 20.4mm

A big improvement here this weekend. Both days have felt much warmer, largely due to considerably more sunshine and afternoons that didn't get grey and chilly. Sitting outside this afternoon I was actually a little too hot in the sun for the first time in quite a while. Still only 15 °C but with the sun and without the wind that's absolutely fine for sitting out and doing nothing.

Thought is was supposed to be sunny today, Skies overhead are looking very 'expectant' so to speak.

Clouds have that fuzzy orange/grey, not moving, building directly overhead, pre T-Storm appearance???  It's also gone exceptionally quite, no Birds singing whatsoever.

Agreed, but the forecast a few days ago was a cool week, but not looking to bad now if you ask me

Rain here too, still a few drizzly drops falling as I type. A bit of "gardener's rain" overnight and then drying out through the morning and sunny (I hope) in the afternoon is probably the perfect weather combination for me right now!

So looking forward to Friday with the potential forecast with clear blue skies and 17c maybe an 18c somewhere
