A better day today. Still not exactly warm (max 7.9 °C) but after a rather grey morning, the sun came out for quite a bit of the afternoon and by now its heat makes a real difference. Chilly air and warm sunshine is good walking weather, so I enjoyed my afternoon walk. Daffodils really coming through everywhere now.

Two grotty days yesterday and today, chilly and grey with occasional light rain and with sunshine at or close to nil. Max today 6 °C and it felt it, too. At least we may see a little more brightness tomorrow, but I'm finding this nothing weather so boring. We've had a reasonable winter in snowfall terms, so I'd like it to get out of the way and bring in some sunny mid-teens spring weather now, please.

It’s been a cold day today here, below the average if I must add

Miserable 48 hours,  3.5c yesterday, 3.5 c today, stratocumulous complete cover both days. Disappeared at 7.30pm last night to give a stunning starlight night with good frost.

Went south on the A5 shopping  and could see the sun in the distance, striking line of change...but couldn't warrant the extra mileage for vitamin D as an essential journey.

I see you won the Feb combined CET competition.

Absolutely brilliant.

Thats 3 of us now (DWW and myself, also) who've won it for the Midlands.

Anyone I've missed out?

-5.8 at Credenhill last night, (thats Hereford to you that don't know. 5 miles out of Hereford in the countryside but meh)

Sennybridge down to -7.5.

Funny as it has gone cloudy here now but still -1 out there feeding the birds this morning.

A very decent day today. Not warm (max 6.7 °C after last night's chilly min of -3.7 °C) but lots of sunshine, and indeed the skies are still largely blue now. Superb walking weather, so I greatly enjoyed my hour's walk today. A shame we can't keep this kind of weather going a bit longer, rather than it giving way to strong winds and rain as will be happening in a few days. Oh well, that's March for you I suppose.

Not as good as yesterday, but another okay day today. Temps topping out at 10 °C, at least a few glimmers of sunshine and light winds. I felt fine sitting in the park with a coffee (as today's the day when "outdoor recreation" is officially allowed) and although not a very interesting day it has been, as the saying goes, a useable one. Unfortunately by the end of the weeks all the back footpaths that have dried out recently will be mudbaths again...

Impressive wind gusts forecasted across southern areas tonight - widely 60mph, approaching 80mph in localized spots. Definitely seems to be underestimated by the MO with only yellow warnings.

A rare time I’m glad to be on lockdown as it means I don’t have to go out in the wind and rain. Such a boring end to winter and beginning to spring.

WoW! Weathers going insane!  Bins flying up the drive, house feels like something's slamming into it, (kinda like a small earthquake), the gusts are that strong!  Not to mention it's as if someone's dumping a swimming pool onto us. xD

Just typical winter fare. I'm surprised it wasn't named but we don't have an amber. And impact wise most people aren't travelling around (though schools will in the morning).

Anyway I'm enjoying listening to the roar outside and it's actually not raining here.

45mph Gusts here, just constant banging from bins flying outside. xD

Possible squally thundery rainbowy showers for this afternoon

Something to lift the lockdown blues anyway

Looking forward to some warmth now as the sun is now getting stronger

But you never know we may see a last blast of cold and a little snow cover

Personally I’m happy with what I’ve had regarding cold and snow this winter, much much better as the last number of winters have been

Bring on the plumes in summer with BOOMS

Just had a heavy shower of sleet, then wet snow although nothing settled. There are still patches of hail lying in the grass after the heavy shower early yesterday evening. Current temp' is 2.5c, with a few sunny intervals breaking through the cloud.
