Just had a heavy blob of snow showing smack bang over me on radar and nothing at all.  Not a single flake.  You couldn't make it up.

Whilst the surface will stay very cold, we start to say goodbye to the bitterly cold upper air from tomorrow.

Breakdown gaining traction   sunday  Arperge as a nice little event before milder air win out on Sunday night

Def don't want that mate. Yeah I want the Snow event, but only if it Stalls over us and then freezes.

I just don't see the excitement of having Snow if it then turns to rain straight away or melts the same day

Aww the nice big one that went north of Stafford is shriveling up before it gets to me...

It got me on my walk, decent sized flakes, streets here look weird, white on one side, no snow at all on other side

Completely dry I can see more showers coming down from the north east. All tracking a fraction of a mile to my east and west. What does it take to get just one shower in the right position that doesn’t die out?!

Guess it's just hitting Hanley/Fenton  area then, looks heavy as everything beyond about Abby Hulton distance from me  has vanished behind a wall of white.

  Localised shower is very local.

Look out people around the greater Birmingham area looks like it's heading your way.

Never seen so many showers dumping snow so close by while I don’t see a flake. Someone has fitted an invisible force field round here today!

Temperatures in towns and cities tonight. Some rural spots with deep snow cover falling to around -13’C. -20’C in Scotland. Brrrrr!
